Dude is they offer 30LPA, 18% will go in variable pay, then another 1-1.5L to retention incentive. If they scrap that retention incentive in a year or two, then you will end your less than what you are offered.

Then there is always a chance of they going back in their word once you stay back. Never chase after promises when you have solid offer in hand.

Not true always. My friend made his salary from 16 to 20. If management is trust worthy then pf course they will not betray

Well statistically, people who got fucked are more than people who got what they promised. So it would be wise not to take risk when it comes to your carrier.

Is the HR willing to give you revised compensation letter right now or are they asking you to first revoke the resignation and then they will share? I personally know multiple cases where they said we'll match the offer but did not share the revised letter until the associate revoked the resignation. After revoking HR took its own time and then they sent the letter with substantial lesser compensation saying this is what was approved by senior leadership. Also within that 50% of the increment was on the variable. HR then said that if you are not happy you can resign again. So they wasted almost 2 and half months since original resignation, made the associate revoke, made him wait substantially so that he loses other offer and then lowballed him into staying in TCS.
So my straight advise just go dude. Don't fall into TCS trap when you have an option.

Can HR demand the offer letter from other company?

Other companies have other problematic things that you will get to know only after joining. Frankly for 2 lakh extra, switching out of TCS is stupid. I would have understood if it was 5/10 lakhs

Outside he will get 35-40 LPA in 2-3 year. While in TCS he will slo for hike abd promotion.

Discuss the deductions ahead so that they are not putting the majority in VA and retention incentives. If they agree, then I would suggest u stay for now and try back in a year.
This will help u in measuring consistency level in an organisation and next year u can switch with better numbers. If u switch now, u cannot switch in a year

More than a matter of salary, if you stay in TCS your skills will be crippled.

Stay in tcs but negotiate the variable pay. Get your ctc increased.
