I am working in implementation (non tech) in a (good) software company and wish to transition to a PM role. What's the right career choice?

I'd say go for an MBA. You'll have more career options and be more future proof.

PM is going mainstream and getting diluted in terms of compensations and market value.

In the long term, the MBA might be much more useful
