I am trying to write a blog about code reviews and the problems people face with ‘Manual’ code reviews today.

Any suggestions about problems you’ve faced in the past or face currently with AI tools or with manual review are welcomed.

Currently building the idea around time wasted by reviewing manually, correcting spellings, adding context, loss of knowledge- tribal knowledge in a tenured developers head. Anything else that I may not have considered?

Manual code reviews can be a time sink, especially when they turn into spell-checking or style policing instead of focusing on logic and architecture. Add in untracked tribal knowledge and inconsistent reviewer experience, and it’s a recipe for burnout and bugs. If you're stuck refining your review process or exploring AI-assisted code review strategies, talk to someone who's done it right. On Hiked.in, you can get 1:1 mentorship from tech leads who’ve scaled review systems for real-world teams.
