I am the smartest person in every meeting in my team and it sucks...

Look, I know this is going to sound arrogant as hell, but I need to vent. I'm so fucking tired of being the only competent person in every goddamn meeting at my company. It's not even a humble brag anymore - it's genuinely ruining my career satisfaction.

Every. Single. Meeting. It's the same story. A bunch of overpaid, underqualified "managers" stumbling through presentations they clearly don't understand. Coworkers asking the most basic, idiotic questions that a five-minute Google search could answer. And don't even get me started on the "brainstorming sessions" that are just an excuse for everyone to spout off half-baked ideas with zero understanding of implementation.

Meanwhile, I'm sitting there, biting my tongue, because if I actually spoke up every time someone said something moronic, I'd be labeled as "not a team player" or "difficult to work with." So instead, I have to nod along to utter nonsense and watch in silent agony as terrible decisions get made.

You want to know the worst part? These idiots are the ones getting promoted. Apparently, in corporate America, the ability to confidently spew bullshit is more valuable than actual intelligence or competence.

So yeah, being the smartest person in the room fucking sucks. It's lonely, it's frustrating, and it's career suicide if you actually let it show. Anyone else feel like they're surrounded by morons at work, or am I just an asshole?

This isn't about stroking my ego. It's about the soul-crushing reality of working in an environment where mediocrity is rewarded and excellence is punished.

And to every manager: keep telling yourselves that everyone who recognizes incompetence is just an arrogant prick. I'm sure that attitude will serve you well in your careers.

Bro hold on you, don't think that they don't know anything. You would be good in technical but in managament they are good. Jo dikhta hai wahi bikta hai. Also they sound creepy becuase they don't want to put efforts but in actuality they would be better than you. Since you are much experienced with world fully , you would be learn these tactics in future. In our school a teacher don't teach us maths properly this doesn't mean he don't know. He knows much more in comparison to other teachers but he will keep his mouth silent in order to avoid herculene things thus saves a lot of energy , time and money.

You are most idiotic person to interfere and consider it as your own work.

Focus on your health and career.
They don't care about you they don't even care about their owner. Only thing company cares about is profit doesn't matter who made it how made it

Take a back seat and enjoy. What kind of smartest person are you if you can't even have fun. Someone in the comments said NPD and I agree. You should resign and be at a place where your ability is appreciated. This is what's best for you in my opinion.

If you're smart enough please move on to some other place. There are ample of opportunities waiting for the right talent to cater the need.
