I am so happy that I resigned from TCS more than I got an offer from another company. Any suggestions in my Notice period?
So with more than 3 YOE, and A rating twice in appraisals, my pay did not even cross 5 LPA. After a struggling phase, I got an offer with an 80% hike. I hate how my manager treats the team and his micro-management daily.. So what can I do to get leaves in my notice period so that my LWD won't get extended? I have 20 sick leaves and 40 earned leaves remaining. When I applied sick leave for one day after more than 2 weeks of resigning, he informed me that I cannot take leaves and multiple sick leaves will extend my LWD.. I don't want to agree for whatever he says and don't want to work properly during my notice period.. Any help how I can be in my notice period please?

Its better to have a smooth exit from TCS. You can take sick leaves in LWD but not earned leaves i guess because they will get encashed in FNF. Moreover, talking about work , you can just pretend them that you are working . Attend all calls and sit idle . Dedicate your time in preparing for interviews.
Hey can u let me know .. what is the process I have kept my paper on 22 Jan and HR is ok with my approval. But my manager and SDM’s are like they need to get a resource for my replacement and then Release me the process is so frustrating where can I check if I’m billable or non billable resource. Also should we report to office even on notice period???
Any one can reply it would be really helpful guys @Solar @SleepyCurse @ImBruce @Kachra__Seth @Soullife @TrackFire @SmugTreasure @FirmCharity @UntriedCurler Also I want to negotiate my notice period HR is ok to negotiate untill manager gives heads-up irritating yaar

Resignation and seperation process is straightforward.
If you have already resigned, you can check the workflow in Ultimatix -> italent
If you don't report to office, they will cut variable pay from your CTC in FnF according to WFO index policy.
Negotiation of notice period totally depends on manager. You should try to convince manager for early release. In most cases they deny for early release but at least you can try from your side.

If project team and HR both agree then you can get release early. Let them find one resource and give it ASAP. Take final date when finalizing kt.
For allocation to billable or non billable check your allocation details in Ultimatix.

Best way is to do nothing in notice period. Don't use leaves as well and don't work as well. Your manager can do nothing if you follow this approach.

I think sick leaves we can take I already took one in policy also it's mentioned only sick leaves can be taken in notice period

Congrats for your new company. You can take sick leave, if required. Earned leave will be encashed during full n final.
Till your last date, company is paying you for proper work. So you can work professionally in proper way. I think there is no need for behaving unprofessionally. These are your starting years of career, and there is lot still to go in professional life. So if you behave personally, you eventually will create your own betterself. Best of luck

Hey, Thanks for your advice. I’m trying to be professional but the micro management is soo irritating and I just want to escape from that right away… that’s what making me think this way🙃

I am also happy that I have left the organisation. I would really say that TCS and other SBCs are exploiting the people. Better learn and leave as soon as possible. TCS ge never like before.

Congrats buddy I can feel you. I am having the same experience as you had and the only bearable thing in my project was decent technology, a supportive team and a few great colleagues. The management is worst, there is a blame game going on and the leadership never protects its subordinate from the client or any other problems.
Although I cleared the wings 1 innovator I was still doing the same support work which I was doing previously and when I asked my manager and HR they just kept sending me to here and there. I also recently put down my papers and now waiting for the countdown to end. Although I haven't taken any leave as of now but I am planning to take a few SL in the coming days and not expecting any issues, let's see how it goes.

Bhai tap karte chal aur office ki chai pite chal....
