I am L8 and have just been benched, how long do I have to find a project before I will be let go.
U r getting mostly suggestions from level 11 and 10 here... better u ask someone with your level or above guy

Hi, better start looking outside and it seems your in higher level, I would say mostly 1 month is safe for you. If you have any connections with higher people try to ask them for any vacancies and get into project ASAP. Because in may month even for people with 2 months at level 11 onwards effected with layoffs immediate resignation. I have seen this personally. So, I suggest you to look outside to be on safe side.
I've heard they are already planning for an unofficial layoff through the bench. So try to get into the project early before 3 months. If you are unlucky then hr will connect with you for early release with some extra money. At that time you can put paper n add a 3 month extra notice period. But everything depends on you.
