Trending @Cognizant; I am in the promotion phase, Is it good to stay in CTS for a few months?

I am an Native Android Developer going to be promoted sooner from A to SA, currently my CTC is 10.5 LPA and my YOE is 7.7 years,

I feel my compensation is under market value for my YOE and position

Considering the current market conditions, Is it good to wait for a few months as I will get a hike for the promotion and as well another one in August?

Or Can I start looking for other opportunities outside?

Your opinion matters a lot?

Start looking out. If you go out you will have new designation and a good package. The hike in August seeing their poor business won't be much. And, I don't think it's worth waiting. You are underpaid here so it's time to go out.

Buddy ye ek fake hoax bnaayi jaa rhi hai. Recently they have aquired one major project where they need atleast 200 resources and one other project is also aquired by them. @BrokenSociety you can start the searching process . Generally the interview procedure takes 1 month and hopefully by 15th july, we will get out hike letter. You can use that hike letter to get a better package in the next firm. Its just 1.5 months more

This is my 18th year in cognizant. They are known for very poor hikes or no hikes when their business is not growing. Moving a company gives you straight 30%. Staying in cognizant gives you max 8%

Then what is your motivation to stay in Cognizant since 18 years?

The main pay off in Cognizant is when you move onsite .

It’s not worth waiting when you are already underpaid.
