I would suggest you to soon report to your base location and start visiting office atleast 3 days a week.
Earlier they used to take the attendance through a Microsoft form. Now they are as well monitoring the swipe in and swipe out time. They are not laying much emphasis on how much time you are spending in office but yes your presence in the office matters and yes , try to stay in office for atleast 3hrs

You can fight back its not mandatory. Talk yo your HR and inform you cant comeback you have small baby and its just you if u have to move to pune and wouldnt be able to take care of stuff and some stories
