I am a data analyst with 7 years of experience.
My hands are shaking while I am typing this. In the afternoon i received a call from my manager and was told that I am being put on an informal 2 month PIP and if things don't turn out well then I will be out on an official 1 month PIP after which I would be asked to leave.
I don't know what went wrong, I got promoted last year and this year I am being put on PIP.
I have a 2 year old daughter at home and I am crying while writing this.
I don't know what to do.
Can someone please refer me to their company?
It is a tough situation. There is nothing wrong in you. May be they wanted to lay you off. So found a reason. Thats it. Prepare well and for sure you will get a better job.

Also IT industry is too volatile. I had faced delay salary of 5 months. So always keep an emergency fund and plan your finance. Its the same for all irrespective of the company and position
