Huge bench strength

Guys, I came to know that bench count is huge and increasing in tcs. Around 15k in Chennai as far as I know. Bcos of ppl in bench others are not getting proper hike. Hopefully situation changes else there will be direct or indirect layoff. Its not really fair to pay ppl who are in bench for longer time. Whats your say?

It's management's responsibility to provide a project.
People are not accepting projects because they are getting irrelevant offers. Let me explain to you kid

Designers are getting a java development role, Java developers are getting UI designer role Paython people are getting a support role People like you don't have knowledge about coding are getting coding roles.

It's management's fault that they are giving a role on the basis of luck.

Rest is in your hands be a puppet and touch 10 to 15 lpa at your age 40 45 or just get outside and take 20lpa at your age 28-32.

Pity of your judgemental statements. Most of them are not matching to my profile. I am telling abt ppl who are in bench for longer duration and not all. Also getting project is not only company’s responsibility. Associates should also look for projects of their interests and skills. Simply sitting in bench and pointing at management is of no use.

Oky are you saying that I have to visit odc to odc and people to people to ask for a project then why rmg people are there.

Have to blame the resourcing team and the project teams. Even though the associate is willing to work and have technical skills he was kept on bench as the projects are looking for more hands on experience. Project management should consider whether someone is able to handle through the interview not with the overall experience in the particular technology. There should be a proper segregation for some particular technology and for some experience there should be a min and max base packages. And 4% hike for a fresher makes a lot of difference for the 4% hike of an individual having more CTC let's say more 25 lakhs. Things should be somehow need to be streamlined.
