@Chanakya can you do ama on hrbp role? I’ve lots of questions on what do they really do. Most of the startups I have worked for always had hrbp alloyed to me but I’ve met them only during my last day for exit interview.

Sad to hear that. Most of the HRBPs actually do a line HR role, not their mistake.
Actual HRBP work is kind of good. You plan the number of people you want to hire, you check whether you're within cost control, you define processes, policies and programs, you provide a realistic picture of what's happening in the organisation to the leadership, be it on engagement or attrition. You work on compensation and performance management, get to define KPIs for roles. These are a subset of the actual work done.
Depending on the maturity of the organisation, HRBP work varies.
