I have put my resignation on 12th may today HR has called me to know the reason why am I leaving. I told that I was expecting a promotion & hike which did not happen so that led me to take this decision. She wanted to know the next company that I’m going to and how much % hike have they offered me so that she can speak to the rewards team. I told that I have received 60% hike on my base pay. After hearing this the HR just told me ok if at all you have any change of plans then please do let me know
I mean was she indirectly asking me that they are trying to retain me or should I again clearly ask if retention is possible by matching the offer that I have got? I know that retention is not possible by matching my offer. But after the call I just had this thought in my mind “let’s ask if they are willing to match my offer”. But I don’t know how to ask her again any suggestions would help me here


Retention expecation from Accenture that too against 60%? lol I think either you are new to Accenture or you dont know Accenture yet. Dude this company gives <= 20% hike for promotions. Even if you multiply everyones hike in your team still that figure wont 60. You can try power series still i dont think it would come to 60. This is such a beautiful company ❤

She wanted to evaluate the possibility of retention by knowing your offered hike. As soon as you said 60% retention option was eliminated. She has already confirmed this. Kindly read the last line of your 1st paragraph.

Accenture will not retain. Better to look for counter offer from other companies.
