HR mail for WFO 5 days + 45 hrs
I got a mail from HR today regarding WFO policies and there I was surprised with 45 hrs/week from TCS/client location is mentioned as mandatory thing!
Few colleagues told me that TCS are now forcing people to leave company by micro managing things upto the extent you won’t tolerate.
Any views?

Yes the rule work 5 days has been there for couple of months .. client location means u got to follow client location wfo rules(not TCS )
When I joined this company from my previous organization, the only thing that made me happy was getting two days off every week. I was so excited, I felt like I had won a lottery—two whole days to eat, sleep, and pretend I have a life! But then I see some of you saying, "What's the big deal? A 5-day workweek is normal." Normal?! Bro, I came from a place where I was working 6 days a week, and by the time I reached Sunday, half the day was spent recovering from the trauma of the last six!
Imagine being a mobile phone with 6% battery, and instead of charging, your manager says, "Let’s utilize that remaining charge efficiently." That was my life! So yes, for some of you, 5 days might feel like routine, but for me, it felt like an early retirement plan!
See, it’s a fact—anyone who started their career after COVID looks at a 5-day workweek like it’s some rare celestial event, like spotting 5 moons in the sky—impossible and mythical! But I know multiple projects that, before COVID and even now, still strictly follow 5 days, 9 hours as if it’s a rule written in stone—no exceptions! And if someone dares to "disconnect" on time, their appraisal gets disconnected faster than a weak Wi-Fi signal.
And now, after all these comments, I’m sure some of you still believe the IT sector is heaven. Well, my friend, let me tell you, yes, they give you money, but only after squeezing you like a soaked tea bag—flavor gone, energy gone, just floating in hot water! You start fresh on Monday, by Wednesday you look like a low-battery warning, and by Friday, you're basically a zombie dragging yourself to the weekend, only to recharge for the next cycle of suffering.

Did I just read a great novel which is inspiring yet filled with disappointed having some pinch of happiness spread on top of it. 😂😂🤡

Can you just share the mail content please. Because I haven't received or heard this 9 hrs atleast in my curcle. Although it is mentioned as general 5 days with specified hrs.

The problem is that during Covid you started pan India hiring and promising people that they would be able to work from home or be allocated seats in nearby locations. which clearly isn't happening now.
People are either asked to relocate to maybe report to distant locations during Covid some of the leases of earlier prime locations were terminated .
So it's unfair on letting your management make promises which you as corporate cannot keep.

Yes I couldn’t agree more!!

Yes TCS want to reduce employees..every where micromanagement started ..
Some ppl justify 45 hours was there before covud also ..just normalisation is happening
No main scenario changed.. earlier many ppl were on desktop .inly few were with Laptop .so everyone neec to stay for 9 hours..now laptop hai.. so even if u work 9hours u have to login before and after office also..
Now u have to teams in mibile..so anyone call u during lunch dibner tea time and spoil ur happy time..
Even sunday Saturday management wants you to work
