HR is not responding!!

Hello everyone, I have been suffering from facial paralysis since March 20th. I took leave from March 21st to 31st, and I applied for work from home starting April 1st. My manager advised me to connect with HR, so I began emailing and messaging him on Teams frequently. However, he has not responded. It's been a month, and I am unable to go to the office. My team lead is willing to allow me to work from home, but only after HR’s approval. I have my work assets with me. My salary for April has been credited, but I am unsure about my salary for May. Is there a possibility that when I return to the office, they may ask me to apply for leave without pay or cut my salary? Please advise me on how I can protect myself, maintain my salary, and secure work-from-home permission..

Thank you in advance.

Loop in the HR's Manager and their manager in the email... U need to surpass the hierarchy... It's high time ...

In TCS, HR is not responding on time So better is ask your project manager or lead to follow up with Hr with looping her/his HR manager.

Do not worry, Since you are already aligned with your manager and has his approval, All you need now is to raise an exception request in ultimatix under Work from Office exception. Here you state your reason for exception and attach your medical documents. This will be a one month request and later you can keep on extending it as per your need. Once you raise this, an exception request will get generated in the system and it be assigned to a respective HR for approval. Write an email to this respective HR coping his supervisor and your manager and ask him/her to approve the request stating your need.(writing this email is a must). Once this request in ultimatix gets approved you can work from Home, neither your salary will get impacted nor your QVA.

Ps Note : All HR have to take an action (Accept or Reject) to all such the assigned request by 3rd week of every month. Hence 100% you will get the solution without begging to any HR.

You can raise WFO exception from ultimatix that need only supervisors approval. And you can upload supporting medical documents also.

Yes, but its only a short term exception which can be raised for only 5 days in a month

Not like that, you can apply WFH, If you have genuine reason. I approved 1 month WFH to one of my team member through WFO exception.

You just need to raise WFO exceptions with medical reasons and also escalate this HR's manager even their manager as well ..Don't hesitate..

It seems you have allocation... There will be no impact on the monthly salary but your QVA will paid as per the policy.

Regarding your WFH, the decision need to come from your unit head, try to contact him and explain your situation and loop your HR in that conversation. It will get approved.

Even though unit head approved, request is still pending for HR approval. Funny thing is that after HR approval it will again come to your supervisor approval. Why making things complicated?

This is the only way they can torture employees and either the employee will accept the situation as it's fate or resign. The best tool of TCS and no one will blame TCS for this their Brand will be safe without a mark.

Try to reach HR via call asap else schedule a call with HR by adding your manager since you have health issues. HR won't easily reply to mails.

Correct these HR will never contact you unless they have their work. They think themselves in TCS as high ranking bureaucrats having less knowledge or zero skills but full on arrogance and attitude.

I thought you just have to raise an exception on 2Office for work from home its only ask for managers approval you need to inform HR that you will be on WFH

It can impact to your quarterly bounce not with monthly salary later you can ask them to repay the detected amount if you able to convince them with the reason. But sometimes things works based on project and management mood.

Buddy i have checked with them once something got deducted from your salary it's almost next to impossible to get back. This is the way TCS adds a chunk of amount in their profit books.
