Hr connect last Tuesday at Siruseri odc

Dear folks Good morning

I would like to share some updates shared by HR BP in the recent connect at Siruseri odc for CMI Telecom Account

1.All associates were curious to know timelines when promotion will resume, but no definite answer given by HRBP ,he just said he will update

2.He s mentioning the layoff count is only 6000 till now and fluidity concept is still there and other 6k associates are in the pipeline for layoff

Is it really true that the firm has laid off only 6k? From media and apps like grapevine the count seems to be very high more than 20k

Can anyone confirm the exact number of impacted folks?

Also I heard they are doing forced resignations Is it also true?

I can understand it's very wrong to do this since many associates will be from lower middle class and have emi's etc

Wishing everyone the very best..

Reputation gone. Now laterals are not showing interest. Trend will continue for freshers as well. For ratan sir it took decades to build for these fellows it took a day / two to make organisation collapse.

They do not have answers for promotions or hikes. One of the laid off employee sued them and he won the case. Shame on the management.

It's more than 80k totally which I heard from different people. Terminated one are also less than 4-5k but the total layoff count is crossed more than 80k. They hv covered up the some count by hiring some freshers and some lateral as well.

But after much exp like over 12 years you will not receive much opportunities in market. It is very harsh to get the job. They dont have any option than leaving IT field.

People who don't agree to resign are counted in layoff. The others are those who themselves agreed to resign under the threat that their future will get spoilt if they don't resign. Besides bench removal is not getting counted as layoff. If you krithivasan interview he mentions that layoff only are people who are removed for lack of Ai skills, others who are removed are due to regular release from benching. Secondly, tcs includes bps when doing total headcount of employees. However attrition and layoff only reported for it and not bps. Also those freshers who are terminated within first year of joining are removed on ground of probation and not shown as layoff.

I can confirm about the forced Resignations. Some of my colleagues were give option or termination or resignations. Which seems to have one way out. They got 2 months severance
