Got an interview scheduled for a Sr. Leadership role. They have a bad reviews on Glassdoor, but their growth story & product looks promising. Any advice from this community?

Big time avoid, they don’t have any vision, the founder micromanages to the extreme, the work is pathetic and overall there is politics within the org as all the senior managers are from OYO, you will have a tough time there!

You seem to know something about something. Care to elaborate. Last I checked there was only 1 guy from OYO no?

You are completely mistaken, CBO, Finance Head, Category Heads, Demand Gen Head, Supply Head all these folks are from OYO, additionally managers and associates as well.

The outflow of people is massive this month more than 15 people left, none of the good people are staying there. There were multiple layoffs, one was based on PIP during appraisals, and then public where 30% were let go, post that almost 20% of the remaining ones left. The product sucks, there is no experienced Product Head, Marketing Head, Engineering head. So if you still care to join, all the best :)

Heard there were some layoffs and some 20% of the company was fired. YMMV

Recently read they closed or pivoted their product and don’t have proper future plan.

They released pepper AI recently, and it seems like a gimmick to me tbh, there's nothing much special about the product.

Don't, their product just looks amazing. There are very few users of it, pretty cold time sales department since last 1-1.5 years.

Moreover, have seen many people leaving it in the last 2 quarters(from senior management). They don't have a runway w. r. t money nor via product. The HR there is also abysmal

I had an interview with their founder and got an assignment later. It just seems like they're simply interested in learning your organizations processes to upskill their methodologies and not really serious about hiring you in the first place. They'll also give you assignments that are structured like projects on their own, not happy with these kind of ethics shown.
