I'm 25 yo female, and have been staying in Bangalore for 2 years now. I have seen my friends getting into relationships and mostly casual, even if they aim for serious it becomes casual.

Even serious relationships have to start somewhere. That's why people go for casual first. Once they get an idea of the person, they can decide whether to continue or not.
Nothing wrong with casual ones imo, not everyone is in the right headspace to commit to someone seriously, let alone think of marriage.
