I never had this conversation before ,but want to try , just don't jave any idea so asking here ,if anyone has done that before, how to ask politely??

You setup a time for one to one, keep a track of what you have delivered , your MAL , Proficiency in my competency. How you are taking up roles for next level. Dazzle them. This should show up your readiness.
Then request for their view on your readiness. Most likely they will tell you same tune that you just sang to them.

This discussion needs to happen between mentee and PL before talent discussions start not during this current phase where the talent outcomes are supposed to be revealed.

Do you really think it will happen in one discussion , you start today. May be it happens in Dec 2025 , may be May 26.
There are lot of factors involved.
But first thought process should begin.

Mostly you won't have to, they will themselves start communicating by the end of next week one by one to their respective mentees.
