How would you respond to that?
I posted a junior level vacancy today on LinkedIn
This smartass fresh grad messages me - I have mailed my resume on your personal email which I found on your resume.
- I didn't know my resume was publicly accessible. So tempted to ask him where did he find it
- Wtf?
I'm feeling a mix of violation of privacy and impressed at cold outreach

You can put your email address in quotes and search on google, it will return the public results containing your email, so you will know where did you upload the resume "youremail@domain.com"
But, did you actually recive an email from him?

And I would refer if the candidate has relevant experience. Your own privacy lapse shouldn't affect the candidate future

I did.
I actually went back and checked. Also realised Gmail is not sending notifications 😑
I believe cold outreach is okay till LinkedIn DM. An email shouldn't be accessed this way. However have unfortunately seen many people's corporate/personal email ids floating for jobs.
To ensure this doesn't happen next time, remove the cv from that public place please or at least remove these personal details like email.

My worry is less about email and more about phone number. Apparently my phone number is floating around too

There are some extensions people use to get email IDs from LinkedIn, I believe the login ID is accessible through that. I have received resumes quite a few times on my personal email ID and one of them confirmed this.

Did you find out how he got your resume? @BiryaniEnthu

It was linked to my website 🫠Had it up during desperate times and forgot to pull down

It's quite easy to get contact emails from LinkedIn now days, using a variety of extensions and plugins... Even if the email is not visible directly/publicly in the profile
