How would you answer this?

You are joining company X as a Product Manager. You must come up with a broad six-month plan. In this plan, add many details on how you will spend your first 60 days.

Is there a template/framework that you follow?

Thanks

There are a lot of online material available for this question but here is my version from past experience.

Disclaimer: it depends on the scale of the company to start with (seed/growth stage/MNC). On-boarding time might increase with the complexity of company.

Answering wrt a startup: Day 1-15: catchups. Do catchup with business heads, CXOs and figure out what the vision is, what business they are trying to build, metrics they monitor

Day 15-30: meet product team and engineering team. What product vision is. Processes they follow. Projects they have worked in the past Also meet all your stakeholders. What their challenges are, what their expectations are from you.

Day 30-45: explore the products as a customer. Don't take any walkthroughs unless you are working on B2B or internal tools but for CX side, explore as a customer. Then list down possible breakages, incomplete flows and raise to teams. Built rapport

Day 45+: start owning your charter Day by day. Work with your manager to prepare a plan and adhere to it

@CluelessDime Thanks. I should have framed my question better. I guess all the material on the Internet is more of a "gyaan" and impractical, as every company/team dynamics are different. What I wanted to check is if someone has followed a specific path/framework and then prepared a plan; otherwise, it looks too generic and more theoretical than practical.
