How to tackle 90 days NP while applying for jobs?

So I've been applying for jobs and although I'm rarely getting calls, the ones I am getting are mostly asking notice period and they want someone who can join 15 days - 30 days. How do people tackle this? I mean, while everyone says don't resign without having a job offer at hand, how can I have a job offer if don't even get till interview part?

Is the secret here to just lie and say serving notice period and ready in 30 days? What are some of the consequences with this approach? Are there any better approaches?

Companies like Deloitte, Accenture accept 90 days notice period. Get a job with them then start looking for new jobs once you are 45 days into your notice period

Okay! I'll check their career sites

Companies asks for immediate joiners, when it comes to release the candidates they also follow the same 90 days rule 😂😂😂

What should one do when the np can be 90 days + n days (the company can have this nth period from 2 to 3 months)

I only see 3 ways out of this:

  • specifically look for companies ok with 90 day notice period and specificy that you can join in 90 days. (Safest but hardest)

  • resign and start applying around 1-1.5 month into your notice period. (Riskiest but easier)

  • speak to your manager/HR to reduce your notice period or check whether your new company will offer a buy out (no risk)

Alternatively you could just yolo it and apply after you finish your 90 days.

But I've heard infosys doesnt give a buy out option. Is it not the case? I've got calls where the recruiter was asking if we had buy out, and I said no.

I'd like go Yolo but responsibilities. Thanks for your advices!

For the 3rd way, in service based orgs, even if the managers are ready to relieve, HR is stopping us. Normally HR will have the right to release you if you are relieved from project and you are not working for any project.

prepare for a few weeks and then resign

Do we have the option to withdraw our resignation even after managers approval? Until before last day?

Apply for any company how accept 90 days and try to get the offer, don't worry about salary just get the max they can provide and then start applying for a multiple companies and then prioritize salary and get that offer. This way u get a small hike even if can't find any other company and u will be in a safer side. I did the same.

I'm trying to do that, but I'm not getting many calls in the first place. Definitely not when i don't mention things like "serving NP", last day etc. LinkedIn responses are very rare. got 2 in a month.

See if you are serving notice period then start sharing your profile with your friends who are in good company and when your notice period is less than 45-40 days then update in naukri.com I also got a call today due to naukri.com as I'm also serving notice period. Be prepared if selected check carefully the terms and conditions and break up your salary.best of luck

You can use your leaves to slash the np.

What does this mean ??

Most companies might not allow you to take a month leave on NP.

Lie , Man . No other option and once you have the offer ask for negotiation on both the side

Ig so

Tell them that notice period buyout option is available and also I can negotiate with the current employer. Take an offer letter and than negotiate

risky, but unavoidable perhaps!
