How to switch technology?

Hi all,

Actually from the past 5 years I worked on old technology. Now I would like to update myself with new technology especially non-coding roles like admin. I tried to switch the technology but however it did not happen due to my old manager. I tried with RMG also. They informed us to switch internally in the project. I learnt the old technology and am trying to complete the certification in the next quarter. And also I'm planning to move from TCS. Please provide your valuable suggestions.
