How to negotiate Hr for the market standard hike

Recently I cleared 2 technical rounds for AI/ML engineer role in one company and in hr round discussion the hike which they can provide is just 35% on current package as of now I’m just having package of 4.33 lpa with the experience of 4.9 so I’m seeing on Glassdoor and ambition box the standard salary for this experience for this role is 18-23 lpa and hr mentioned that they have a budget of 20 lpa for this role but u got the offer for just 8 lpa .how can i get offer 15 lpa if I’m not getting anyother interview calls?

Hey dont fret this is classic HR tactic to fill his quota. You can reject the offer and state you believe the current market rate is so and so and be adamant that max you can go low is 15.

Dont settle for less they will resort to pressure and other tactic. Just remember this you agree he walks away with the difference bonus saved by hiring low. Example you agree for 8 he walks away with you 12. This is not the actual number but I hope you get the gist.

Anyway stay your grounds and use this offer to attract other companies. Also closer towards end of you NP you will get alot of calls as well.

Do not settle for less remember you have 4.9 yoe and in a high demand field. Accepting a low package later on will have impact as well like whether you are not confident in your skills or you are a push over or there is some risk etc etc. Like the CTC you get speaks volumes in high demand skill areas. Especially too below the market standard.
