How to negotiate for a salary hike while geeting a new job ?
I had recently interviewd for a role at one of tye advertising giant and got selected, ate the preliminary stages the HR told me that they have budget issues and could only match my current ctc. I agreed because i wanted to give interview.
Now today HR called and said that they are taking approval for a little increase in my current ctc i told them that i need certain amount they refused that they do not have budget. They have bonus/ variable pay policy which is upto 30% of my ctc. But i also know that i will get around 50-80% of this amount. This is over & above fix amount
Although i have asked them to go ahead on the amount they had quoted. But how do i ask them to come to my range ?
Ps. My current organization is very unstable they are laying off people every week. It is a edtech startup. So i am looking for job change.
No choice if you don’t have another offer to show.
Basically crack another co - go back to this one if you really want to join with other offer and say “watcha say babe?” — but be prepared to walk away if they were not bluffing.
