
How to navigate evil employee contracts?
My friend is working as a teacher at an international school with peanut salary, bad work environment, health issues due to pollution and wants to now move out of the school/city for other personal reasons. What should she say to get out of the job before the contract ends? (1yr left out of the 3yr contract)
Contract: You'll pay all the salary (2yr) so far, the training costs and other benefits along with bank interest rates.

I'm not sure if such a contract AKA bond is even enforceable in India.
A lawyer might be able to help evaluate the contract and suggest ways to bypass.

Check with a lawyer and doctor, on basis of health problems she can leave, such contracts are not enforcable. Check with lawyer for finer details in contract.
As per my experience issue of being alive negates other clauses and as alwyas devil lies in details, need to evaluate contract

Bumping this again. She's anxious and is having not so great thoughts. She's going to talk to the senior staff (pricipal and up) today. Hopefully, things get sorted out without much drama.

Her principal passive aggresively said "Congratulations, pay the contract and leave."

These contracts are not enforceable. Unless you have the certificates withheld with the institute, just inform them via a letter or email and just walk away
