How to move out of your room in rented accommodation?
So, recently I have stopped talking more with my roommate as he has a habit of not sharing most aspects of his life and I tend to share more. Turns out, this guy also has lied to me on some trivial things (mostly trust issues I believe) and has gone out of his way to find new people to call home and share even less. Now, seeing all this, I don't wanna continue in that rented accommodation and I wanna move out to my home town ( my job is wfh type) but I was staying here due to my previous job location.
Now, I am not sure how to move out?
- He owes me money, I believe I should take that before moving out.
- He's choosy about who his roommate would be, so should I give him time to find that out? If yes, how much time should I give?
- He had bought some items for the house, and I bought some, should I just plan to take those items back with me?
- We have taken some items on rent, and those appliances are under my name for few more months. How do I handle this? If I cancel the subscription, we would have to pay more and then, I should handle the additional charge, right?

- Yes absolutely
- Had you guys aligned on something like this that if someone leaves, they need to find a replacement? If not, isn't not your problem. How much is the notice in the agreement? Give him and the landlord that much notice
- Take back if you want to. Or sell them off to your roommate or to someone else. Or leave them. Or donate. Your choice.
- If you can foot the Bill for those additional charges then you do it. Else request your roommate to split it.

Also think through what you want - whether you want to move back to hometown or take up another house in the city?
