Hi people. I'm a fresher and I have got an offer from a company but since the pay is not good I'm looking for alternatives. How do I hold an offer which I received? Like what do you say to the company, do you ask for some time or would you not respond to them. If you ask for some time, what exactly you ask time for. Please enlighten me

Well , you can be honest and tell them the offer doesn’t meets your expectations
It won’t hurt you, have a discussion and see if they are ready to pay more (as a fresher this won’t happen )
Or
Accept the offer and take a joining date after 2 weeks and try to find a better offer and then negotiate
