How to invest Retention Bonus

Received retention bonus this year with ~10 lac after tax.

And getting paid in 2 chunks, jan 2026 and 2027.

I don't want to spend this money as I might need to return it in the worst case.

However I want to know safe investment options with high returns. Please suggest.

Put it in low cost arbitrage mutual fund(s) for two years. If you decide not to switch in 2 years and when the money is yours, systematically transfer it to other equity/debt/emergency funds you own at whatever allocation you’re comfortable with.
