How to increase the salary and Grade

From someone who has cleared I will be very honest. I wish I had spend the time I had clearing wings exams on an actual certification instead of this crap.

Reason:-

1. After you clear it you are under constant pressure to maintain A or B band.
2. You have to kiss ass to secure your bands and even once if you go against someone senior well you lose out on the band.
3. Current situation of TCS they are making it difficult to clear the exams with hard qns and the entire prep time is designed such that you spend atleast 1 year in TCS. If you don't clear the exam you have to wait 3-6 months to try again which means you work longer in a discount salary for TCS
4. They designed wings examination like a video game that you get hooked on. By the time you realise it's two three years would have gone by
5. The exams you clear has no real world application so when you apply for job elsewhere it doesn't count

Now personal exp: I was lucky enough to join prior to the new wings clearance structure and was able to clear the exams and secure package in 4 months after joining. But back then ie 2021 they did the digital and innovator examination monthly.

Reason why I suggest Certifying and jumping:

Tcs offers a really good udemy and linked in access with 1000+ content that can help you certify and become a professional in any certification of your choice. That certification holds industry value and trust me you can get the same innovator package on your first jump MINIMUM.

Reason: Me and my friend joined TCS together, instead of focusing on digital and innovator he focused on aws certification. By the time I cleared the exams he was certified AWS Solution Architect and Developer then did some personal projects to showcase his knowledge. He then applied to other companies and got selected by Infosys for 18 LPA.
Meanwhile, I am fighting for my hike and have a limit to pushing cause of band. Jumped 3 projects to keep my band safe. Meanwhile he is gearing up for his next jump with 27 LPA. With the current wings system you would do much better with meaningful certification and jumping ship. No pressure no kiss ass no lack of mental peace etc etc. Just go do a certification become best in that and jump.

Wings 1 and 2
