How to handle an expectation setting meeting by HR?

My recent performance at my project is not pleasing to both me and my manager. Somehow this got escalated to HR - now an expectation setting meeting has been setup. What is this ? How to handle it?

Depends on your grade.. If you are junior then you have upper hand, be innocent & agree to whatever they have to say.
