How to give interviews while working from 9:30-7 from office.

I work in a startup with 2 meeting rooms which are always occupied. Anyone can walk into them anytime even if they're booked and privacy is not guaranteed. How to manage giving interviews while working from office as hr doesn't schedule on sat, sun.

Go to a nearby cafes and attend interview during lunch time

Yup that's my last option

That's the only feasible long term option as I see. Any company would have 2-3 rounds and one likely has to go through multiple companies for a desired offer. Pretty off to take 2 leave a week for continuous 5-7 weeks. Pre Covid we had to take leaves for interviews now at least interviews are online, so an hour or so away is mostly manageable in current office

Find someone who stays in the nearby office/cafe or something, go to their place for interviews and get back.

I have given interviews from basements ,VC via phone. Got the offer also.

Few options you have:

  1. If you have a car, get into it and give interview. Best option. You don't have to take fast off.

  2. Give some excuse and work from home.

  3. Go to a nearby office space you have and take the call from the office lobby. Works very well in business parks.

  4. Go to a nearby wework and take a day seat.

  5. Go to an office college house if they live close.

  6. Take the day off

Covid graduate? I learnt from my seniors. Make an excuse. Doctor appointment, or had to take flatmate to hospital, bank blocked my account coz I didn't go there after several warnings, need to be there today.

Whatever, say you're going for an hr, come back when you are done. I worked 10am-8pm 5day/week in '21-'23. These work.

Interview on weekend

I have an interview coming up next week, but since I work full-time, I can't do it during the week. Can I ask HR to schedule it only on a weekend? If they won't, I won't proceed 🤧 And how can I convince them for weekend 🥺
