Trending @Infosys; How to get released from project?
Hi All, Currently I am working on python developement project as python developer as this is my new project and In my project there is no senior for python who helps me my manager assign a task to me directly but didn't help much so ,I am not able to do coding so I take help from one of my friend but 1.5 months are already gone totally on his dependency still I couldn't have a confidence that I will do it without him. I practice a lot but I'm still not able to handle situations and work. Can anyone please tell me what to do in this situation and how to get released from this project . Please help . Thank you.
I had similar situation. Taking help from friend, taking long to deliver the requirement, getting stuck at places for much time, losing confidence, questioning self. But later I took a break, relaxed myself chilling with friends and then get back to work with fresh mindset. 1st thing I did was to stop taking his help because I wasn't myself focusing enough on understanding. After this I started getting things done on my own by spending more n more time with the code. Trying different methods, implement then debug repeatedly. Don't know how much of this will help you but if you try to do things on your own it'll surely make a difference. Get pen n paper, understand the requirement, note down your idea, try to implement it, if you're stuck then get help from ChatGPT (well described prompt), Google, python community, etc. Even then if you're stuck then take help from seniors from your team. Give it a try. Atleast I was able to move forward. Even if that doesn't help then tell your manager that you tried your best but unable to deliver and that he/she can take the necessary actions. Just don't work in panic mode. Hope this helps!

If you are not comfortable with coding, why did you take up the project?
You are atleast in development project, here we are stuck in Support project with rotational shifts and even working on weekends. Even I want to get out of my current project, let me know too.
