
How to get released from project
My Manager took me with her to 3 different teams and in 2nd team got the dev work related to my skillset for which i was selected for but was made to work initially for 1st team for few months. After coming to 3rd team(same work as 1st team) I repeatedly asked her to send me back to 2nd team which she promised when pulling me from 2nd team but later denied. I asked for release and to add my name in layoffs happening in my project before appraisals but she denied again stating the reason of not having my replacement. I already prepared a resource as my replacement but now she is forcing me to work extra as a shared resource for 1st team. I tired many approaches like unplanned SLs, denying or not completing work but still got nothing. Mentally I am frustrated as i have cleared wings1 and has strong skillset but others who asked for release got released or got their place in 2nd team who was not having skills, I feel stuck in my 2yoe career , what should i do for getting released or changing the team to 2nd one,will HR help?

Stop working, let your manager know this on call, cause problems to the project by being unavailable, they will hear u when they are dragged out of their comfort zone.

This, because if you are working even though you are complaining, the work is going smoothly. They will only take action when they will need to answer someone else. Stop working and upskill on company’s time.

I tried approach of not doing work had calls me manager but she’s denying for release even though I directly said no to her face and I don’t want to work in this project. Now she had unofficially making me work of 1st team. How to get out of all of this, Will Hr help me in getting released?

Now they have scheduled a call with HR to discuss RTO n for not doing work any tips n suggestions?
