How to Get Released from a Project

currently working as a Team Lead, and recently, the other Team Lead on my project left. As a result, I was given complete knowledge transfer, and now the project is entirely dependent on me. The project aligns with my technology expertise, but I no longer wish to continue working on it.

What are the best approaches to request a release from this project?

First you need to talk to your manager. Getting release is not easy. You might need to create some scenarios to get it. If project is dependent on you then it's hard. Ask for promotion, good hike, don't do extra work, miss deadlines, etc and then they will consider to release
