How to get into the Product Manager role from a SDE (sr software engineer with 8 yoe)

applied to so many jobs even APM/PM/associate/entry level product management - all I get is unfortunately not selected mail, I am interested in Product level work, I have good grasp on technical and functional - I need to get into something that oversees the product as a whole, do you think I should checkout any other roles? If so then what? I am also doing some courses but not sure if this will increase my chances. I am not even getting calls for any interviews, am confident I can do well in this area. I have excellent communication skills as well, good in technical & design - I don't mind a role which techno functional product combo as well. Pls guide me what can I do.
