How to get interview calls ?

Hi everyone,

I am a Aws devops engineer in tcs having 3.6y of relevant experience and 4.3y of total experience. From past 10days i am updating linkedin and Naukri multiple times in a day and actively applying jobs. But i am not getting any response back. I have purchased LinkedIn premium for one month yet no updates. I took ChatGPT help for tailoring resumes and updating linkedin and Naukri.

Any suggestions to get calls ?

Never buy premiums, those are scams. I have uploaded my resume in shine and naukri. Make sure your resume is fresh and attractive. I got a call within 2 days.

Completely agree with @Sayan359. @Prashanth4 - nowadays HR/s or any recruiters are first looking at notice period before resume, literally.

Let's say I have written ready to join immediately, that means notice period 0, and you have written 90 days.

And even if I have average or only minimum matching skills or experience and you have amazing skills, guess who will get hired?

The point is, flip the roles if you are the recruiter who will you take a chance on? A person who said he will join in 90 days, while he gets your offer and have enough time to do job hunting with other companies or the person who will just try negotiating salary and will join immediately.

So, my suggestion? Write notice period as 30days, and mention already on notice period. And convey this to your current manager that I'm looking for early release due to emergency in family, etc.

He will say no you have to serve 90 days company policy, etc. tell him you will try to finish KT, etc. still doesn't agree, tru to not join Daily meetings, say i will be away for 2 hours in main chat in client call, mention internet isn't working, etc.

Basically give picture that you don't wanna work, and manager will be furious, but after 2 -3 weeks he himself will give you project release, because if the situation continues there will be team inefficiencies and client escalation.

And once you are on bench, trust me any company in the world will let you go in a day or two, because no one wants to give out free salary.

I have been on the same boat and finally leaving the organisation. I will be brutally honest.

What you can do is apply to the WITCHA companies first. Wipro, Infy, Cognizant, Accenture, or HCL. They usually wait 90 days. My case I had an offer from Infosys. But this is more prevalent during a good market cycle.

But if its a bad cycle (like current cycle) mostly Infosys and Accenture might be ready for waiting the 90 days rest not so much. The reasoning has been already given by another user.

Here no matter what you do to improve your resume and even get a perfect ATS what holds you back is the NP. Trust me cause its my 3rd time doing this.

In these cases you gotta be willing to put down your paper. If you believe in your skills do it. Dont wait and hold on for an OL put down your paper and serve the NP.

1st month is a month of patience you apply and mostly the WITCHA companies reach out. The Interview process is slow. Barely any calls. Alot of people start doubting their skills here. Whether they actually are relevant and alot of dark thoughts.

Second month, initially it will be slow but by mid things start progressing fast, you would most prolly get your first OL and alot of companies mid level would reach out. Companies like Co Forge, Mindera, EPAM, etc. The Interview process and OL release is pretty fast.

3rd and last month, you would be bombarded with calls daily. Interviews almost every other day unless you got your dream Offer already and have decided to drop out of attending the interviews.

So yeah if you believe in your skill set and know for a fact you deserve better there is nothing like a good or bad job market. There will/is always demand for good talent.
