How to get help from assigned buddy when he is trying to avoid.

What if your assigned buddy or mentor seems helpful in emails but avoids providing guidance on Teams, responds minimally, or delays calls? This wasn’t an issue when I joined, but after several new recruits and a layoff cycle, it has become more noticeable.

My questions is how to get the help you need or how to tackel this situation.
