How to get good at office politics?
This is something I feel I need to work on to maximise my chances in the corporate. I want to do it without being a “chaatu” or harming others in the process if that’s possible

Never say no or even care to explain to seniors. Just say 'dekhte hai' and move on. They will like you. If you do it, let them know and get all the praise. If you don't do it, do not mention anything. Just say- dekhte hai, dekh rahe hai, dekhna jaruri hai, etc. Do not get into explaining why something doesn't make sense to seniors. They will label you that you have attitude issues and have no vision.
Most of the time, they also do not know anything and all they want to listen is dekhte hai so that they can tell their seniors that their juniors are looking into it.
