How to describe yourself?

What details should I include when the interviewer asks me to describe myself? I get this urge to say that everything is given in the CV, but, of course, I cannot say that. So, how should I frame my answer that impresses the interviewer?

While giving a job interview, often we have been asked, “Tell me about yourself”. Sometimes people don’t know where to begin or what exactly to answer. It is a typical job interview question where basically you have to provide a summary about your education and experience. Combining your education and experience, you can further go on to say how you can bring value to the organisation. Also, while describing yourself, highlight your strengths and weaknesses so that the next question can be related to that and you can customise your answer accordingly. This question is like an introduction about you, so make sure your answer is apt and the interviewer gets intrigued to ask more about your professional goals and objectives.

When you appear for a professional interview, this is a question that you will encounter. So, it's better to prepare a good answer for this. Along with describing yourself, you can say how your skills and experiences can enhance the productivity of the workforce. You can also practice this answer with a friend or a family member. Keep your introduction short and try to cover all the points. Make sure you can customise your answer as and when needed.
