Cleared it but regretting it badly. I have told this before but will share in brief here.
Honestly Wings 1 aint worth it.
A group of us joined TCS. One of the person from group focused on certification and rest of us focused on Wings 1. All of us on similar projects and same role.
I went with Wings 1 and cleared it when it wasnt too complex but now I see people struggling.
Same time the other guy completed 4 certifications on AWS and found time for personal projects. Built a damn good Portfolio.
He left the company for Ola at a package that pays 2x more than Wings 1. And now switching from Ola to AWS directly for 2x what he was getting at Ola.
So now I got Digital but feel like I wasted so much time focused on Digital when I should have focused on upskilling myself and jumping company. But I cleared on first try only cause it was easy then. But rest of my peers are still trying and a few of them decided to follow the other guys approach and it is proving to be much better.
Wings 1 is a game made to keep us stuck to the organisation. High failure rate. Less re attempts. Having to find time to study, work and maintain A or B band by doing politics. The game is rigged from the start. It makes us obsessed to clear it but we spend alot of time focusing on clearing this and then you wake up one day and realise its already been 3 years.
The things you learn in Digital you dont nor cant be allocated for any projects for using the skills. Then it becomes waste cause other companies want to see you work on projects you actually certified in or claim to know. But we dont get that.
Honestly Wings 1 is a big scam unless you are confident you can clear everything in first attempt. But then trust me it makes you eligible for much better offers outside or yo force the management to get you better pay.
So trust me if you can clear it in first attempt you are underpaid ask for better offer or jump ship. Else focus on certification and ensure to do projects then jump ship.
