How to be unallocated for a long time?

Hi everyone, I got released from my project and I am currently unallocated for the past 4 years I am not getting projects relevant to my interest and I got fed up with the useless projects with no technical growth, finally I have decided to make a switch and looking to join cloud and DevOps courses which is possible only if I am in bench period, could anyone tell me how to be unallocated for atleast 3 months until I make a switch? I heard RMG is strict nowadays

Just don't accept projects and if you get call from project first ask role and skill set then just say you don't have that skiillset.. if you really want to upskill then get in to devops project that's the best way to upskill.. Courses won't help to get job

Apply leaves or LOP. RMG are rude and force u to take any allocation. Better take any project, prepare and switch. Anyways internal or external you will be struggle for first few months.

But I heard the notice period is very less in bench period so that's what I am looking for
