Suggestion was asked for bench, not to get fired or blacklisted(don't know if it is real) 😂

It happened with one of my colleagues and I must say, she was courageous enough to step ahead with her actions. So, she planned holidays in the middle of a project, after she was assigned a project, she asked her team lead (and not the manager) to allow her to take leaves for 15 days, for a trip or something. After a while, the manager got to know about this as there is always no immediate plan of replacement available for someone! Thereafter she denied the lady to not take leaves over mail, looping senior manager and all and also warned her of disciplinary actions, if she didn't comply with rules.

The lady, replied on top of it, saying that "Since leaves were planned and I have all the right to take it, I will go ahead with my holidays on the blah blah date and will be back after 2 weeks.". The Project Manager, after discussing it with her SPM and GPM, released her immediately. The PM was feeling so good about telling us this, but she did this stupid thing out of her ego!

Try catching up with the weaknesses of your Project Manager, which makes him/her get boiled up and then you know what you have to do next.😂😂

Hint: PMs have a lot of ego. Try demeaning them in an inoffensive or casual way. Thank me later!

I must say do it in a controlled way...make them angry but with respect...I mean respect them but don't give a value 😂...otherwise they can give bad or very bad ratings 😞

This happened to me. (Not that it was my intention to be put on bench.) I was with a project where I worked hard and completed all the work. Then I told my manager I will be taking leave for a week. While he didn't say anything, the week after my leave I was released.😑

Just check with your manager that you want to work on some different technology(which is not available in your unit) and ask for release from the project...if your manager release you then well and good otherwise ask when your manager can release. Take a confirmation over mail on release date and if on that date he doesn't release you... escalate your manager
