How to apply for a food card ? Wat r the benefits for it at current day ? What will happen to amount if I left the organisation? Help needed

Food card is tax free on old regime but not on new one. As much as i know the max value on food card you can put is 3000₹. It doesnt cost anything to get or apply.

You have tax benefits for food card. In old regime you can make food card amount as deduction free. I am not sure about new regime.

You need to contact the provider (bank) to get the food card. Once you get it you need to update the card number in GESS. If defined in your BoB, food card amount will be added to your card.
For old regime, you can get tax benefit on amount upto 30000 a year. For new regime, no tax benefit is available. If food card amount is defined in BoB and you don’t have a card, it is taxable- irrespective of tax regime.

You can contact your bank, they will guide for getting food card.
