How tcs layoff will impact my switch from tcs

Hi on Oct 2026 i will have yoe of 2 years and I will get the retention bounce (70k) at 31st oct

And I have decided i will resign on 1st nov with or without job offer

This was my plan but now layoffs is happening then how it will impact my switch journey

12000+ people will be franticly searching jobs now at whatever salary they get, so be aware of that.

that's the main concern
companies will not pay more because they can get candidates cheaper than me

in such scenario i will negotiate with tc to match my offer and will stay in tcs for some more time

I am great resource (skill wise) for team

Don't worry, it's best to resign without job offer, no companies are accepting resumes or shortlisting when an employee writes notice period 3 months, happened with me.

Just be prepared with your interviews lined up. And you are good to go

I will try my best to get the offer before resign but I cannot delay my switch ast i will have to serve 90 day np and in np i will get more calls and I am bit confident i will able to get the offer 11 to 15 lpa (my colleagues with more yoe and less skill switching from 4.5 lpa to 11-12 lpa oracle)
