How S/w Engineers who are not that good in Corporate Networking traits manage their career in IT, especially if they are in band of 10+ exp.
My question is especially for the people who are into Software Development roles and are not that good with all the traits(yes everything you can imagine) required for Corporate Networking manage to thrive in their respective IT careers whether it would be a Product Company like SAP, Google or Service companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture etc. Ofcourse people like us do exist and most probably we are not Introvert in real world. We are just not the Extrovert variant of the Corporate flavour.

Corporate networking is one of the most overrated talked about skill.
Networking works best for people with some decision making power. Employees have none. People with critical knowledge get headhunted for that knowledge not for their networking skill. Just think about it- some one from a executive level is not even going to look at the bottom level employee. Forget talking and forging a network.
Think of networking like this if two dog owners meet in a park. The dog owners will talk about who is their vet, where they buy the dog food, shampoo, dog care etc. Their network adds value. One dog owner will probably pat the other dog. No matter what the dog does, he is not going to take interest in becoming friends with that dog. The friendship between the dogs is useless. Replace dog with employee. Executives/ people with decison making power with the dog owner.

Your reply is gold and assuring. Thanks for your time and write-up. Even I was also having various thoughts like am I joining this company to build my circle or code and build something.
