How safe is Pune !

I am planning to switch jobs and I prefer tier 1 cities. I am from north india. I prefer Pune and Bangalore for my next job.

Need advice from someone living in Pune. How is life ? Is it a safe city in terms of crime rates ? How are local people and communities there ?

Pune is not tier 1. Bangalore has lot more opportunities unless u are into banking or insurance

Pune is definitely tier 1 if you consider Bangalore as tier 1.

Pune is good enough...u can go there. Local maratha and hindutva politics is there but it will not hinder your day to day life unlike other south indian places.
