H1b salary are not grade specific. It's based on the designation specified in the petition along with other factors US min salary for that role in that state. Salary in New York is higher than say Texas for the same role.

Generally petition takes 3-6 months and then project takes another 2-4 months for travel approval etc. If in between there is promotion at offshore, or if employee resigns with another counter offer, does TCS offer the new salary than what was submitted in petition ?
