How much should I ask for a consultant role (AWS Data Engineer) in deloitte USI? I have 3.7 yrs of experience.
My current salary is 6.5 LPA at Infosys. I have recently been selected for a Consultant role at Deloitte USI. Before scheduling the interview, HR asked about my expected salary, and I mentioned 12 LPA, which she agreed to.
However, after speaking with a few friends at Deloitte USI, I realized that I may have underquoted my expectation. Since I have not yet submitted my documents, I believe HR will reach out in the next few days to proceed with the offer formalities.
In this situation, would it be appropriate to renegotiate the salary? If yes, what would be a reasonable revised expectation to propose?
Since you haven’t submitted documents yet, you can still renegotiate. Reach out to HR politely.
Worst case, they might say no. But if you don’t ask, you definitely lose the chance.
