How much salary increment should person expect with 13 year exp in R&D in MNC while switching to another MNC

i cannot say how much. I will certainly say, do not fall for the 30% trap offered by HR. One of the biggest adv of R&D is HR know nothing. HR normally doesn't know anything, in this they know even less. Tell them, how your role directly contributes to the P&L. What ever % they offer, double your demand. If you are earning less, then that the only drawback you have. Unfortunately, the last drawn salary is the benchmark over the Hike they offer.
