How much more money I could get by switching
3.5 YOE 68LPA comp
Does switching make sense , which companies will be worth going to for better comp ?

You are already too maxed out. This is more than 99.9% of companies paying senior engineer

Yeah there is still some room for growth in L4 band but I’m not sure if the increase will be worth it
Still wanted to get the opinion of others here if there are some opportunities worth pursuing

Google employees sit in the god seat and watches others in the balcony
Compared Google, hardly any. MSFT at max when it comes to major US product companies. Rest have worse WLB.

Little worse WLB is acceptable , My wlb is moderate at Google, I don’t coast too much
I am wondering if it makes sense to switch at L4 for higher comp ( and if so how much at least ) orr try to get to L5 at Google
You'll hardly get any sensible hike due to the high base. Stay if not any issue.

i guess your base is 35, confluent, atlassian could pay more base

Close 39
Higher base isn’t really the objective because I have monthly vesting and Google RSU are as good as cash )and you can auto sell stock to get a monthly payout if you want
Confluent stock price seems to be doing really poorly I don’t really have a lot of faith in that company
Atlassian will only makes sense if I can get a level above ( even then I am not enthusiastic about the product )

with your yoe, this might be maxed out pay. stay put for a couple of years and then try for senior roles(5+) where you could get 80L-1Cr TC
